Being an open beta, it will be accessible to everyone. Next Friday, on August 20, 2021, the public open beta for Diablo 2: Resurrected would start. And, why won’t they, the Diablo games have always been a favorite for ARPG lovers, and when one of the best Diablo games ever, Diablo 2 is finally getting a remastered version, the hype is something that is very much expected.
However, Xbox Live Gold will not be required to play during the Open Beta (non-Early Access) on Xbox platforms, and the same goes for PlayStation Plus, which will not be required to play during Early Access or the Open Beta.Diablo 2: Resurrected is a game that many have been waiting for. More importantly, the Early Access weekend test will run until August 17 at 10 am PDT, while the Open Beta weekend will run until August 23 at 10 am PDT.īlizzard also confirmed that during Early Access to the Open Beta you will need Xbox Live Gold to access multiplayer features on Xbox platforms. On Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 players will be able to pre-load the Beta from August 17 after the Early Access Beta ends from the store pages across the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store.įurthermore, on August 20 at 10 am PDT PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 players will be able to play the Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta, which is available to anyone in the general public who wishes to participate on a supported platform. Starting August 18, PC players will be able to pre-load the Open Beta via the client. Keep in mind though that on console platforms, the Early Access Beta will be available to download from within the player’s owned game library.
Speaking of supported platforms, the Open Beta will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. However, come August 20, the Open Beta weekend will be open to everyone on a supported platform. The early access to Open Beta starts on August 13 at 10 am PDT and only those who pre-order the game will be able to play Diablo II: Resurrected. Players can take part by pre-ordering Diablo II: Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection on PC or eligible consoles. As expected, Blizzard confirmed it will run an open beta for Diablo II Resurrected this month.
